Hays County Sheriff’s Office has identified the individual that assisted in the December 2nd escape of Hays County Inmate Omar Maya-Rangel, Hispanic Male, 29 years of age, and a warrant has been issued for ‘Escape’.
The individual who facilitated the escape has been identified as: Marinda Seawright, White Female, 32 years of age, and has used these AKA’s Starla Beall, Rosemary Decker, and a warrant has been issued for Permitting or Facilitating Escape.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of both subjects for the offenses indicated above. Ms. Seawright was able to provide Mr. Maya-Rangel a ride in her vehicle described as a: Silver Pontiac Passenger car with paper plates, unknown number.
It is believed that Mr. Maya-Rangel and Ms. Seawright have been involved in a relationship for some time and will likely be traveling together. Hays County asks for the public’s assistance in locating these two subjects.
Anyone with information regarding these individuals should contact the Hays County Sheriff’s Office at 512-393-7896 and ask to speak with the Criminal Investigations Division or you may contact the Hays County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-324-TIPS (8477). You may also submit your information electronically from the link on the Hays County Crime Stoppers website or by using the free “TipSubmit” application from a smart phone. Should your information lead to the arrest and indictment of the suspect(s), you will be eligible for a CASH reward of up to $1,000. All calls are confidential and callers will remain anonymous. You do not have to give your name and you will not have to testify in court.
