An increased police presence in the area of these crimes will continue through the night.

Edge Apts Incident: Details will also be given regarding an apparent separate rape incident that occurred at Edge Apts and was also investigated this evening.

An arrest warrant has been signed for Keith Vallen Louis III dob. 06/18/1991 in relation to this case.

Louis is a black male, 5’10”, 160 lbs with black hair and brown eyes.

This is the incident that resulted in the visible police activity in the area of North LBJ Drive and Craddock Street Thursday evening.

The San Marcos Police Department is investigating another home invasion/sexual assault.

According to officials, the cases have not been linked, but the incident is similar to a sexual assault/home invasion which took place last week.

SMPD is currently searching the property for the suspect, who was described to have been a black male in his 20s with an athletic build wearing black clothing and a ski-mask. The suspect is reported to have a handgun in his possession.

On Thursday, April 24, the SMPD reported that a resident of the Capstone Cottages of San Marcos arrived at her home around 3:45 PM to find an unknown assailant hiding in her bedroom.

The suspect threatened her with a handgun and sexually assaulted her.

No further information regarding the incident at this time.
