P&G’s Tide Loads of Hope and Comforts of Home Mobile Relief to Arrive in San Marcos, June 1

PROCTER & GAMBLE BRINGS MOBILE RELIEF TO TEXAS RESIDENTS AFFECTED BY RECENT FLOODING WITH TIDE LOADS OF HOPE AND P&G COMFORTS OF HOME

WHO:        Families, individuals and first responders in need of personal care items or laundry services in the wake of the recent Central Texas flooding.

WHAT:      Beginning Monday, June 1st at 3:00 p.m., the P&G Comforts of Home truck will be stationed in San Marcos, Texas, to provide personal care and cleaning kits to residents impacted by the floods. This service will be free to these residents, responders and their families.

P&G’s Tide Loads of Hope will join the Comforts of Home truck at the same location to provide free full-service laundry to relief workers and residents of San Marcos who are encouraged to drop off their laundry to be washed, dried and folded, free of charge. Two loads of laundry per family per day can be accepted. All washable clothing types can be accepted with the exception of heavy bedding.

WHY:        Recent storms have devastated Texas and surrounding areas and have forced many residents from their homes, leaving them without basic needs and resources. In an effort to help families with everyday essentials, P&G Comforts of Home and Tide Loads of Hope will offer personal care kits, cleaning kits and laundry services to those affected by the Texas flooding.

These services are free and available to people affected by the disaster and the many volunteers that are helping to respond.

WHERE:   Tide Loads of Hope and the P&G Comforts of Home truck will be located at 1015 Highway 80, San Marcos, TX in the Walmart parking lot.

WHEN:      P&G Comforts of Home services available Monday, June 1st, 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., then beginning Tuesday, June 2nd services will be available 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Tide Loads of Hope services available beginning June 2nd from 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

We expect to stay on location for about five days or until the immediate needs of the local population are met. If we find that the demand for our services continues, we will try to stay until people’s needs are met by more long-term services. Once we find that the demand for our services is low and people no longer need our help, we will provide 24-hour notice before we discontinue services and leave the area.
