Funeral Arrangements For Samantha Dean Were Finalized This Afternoon

Thursday: 3:00-5:00 pm (Private-Family only)

5:00-9:00 pm Public

Funeral Service: Community Bible Church

Friday: 11:00 a.m.

? On Friday the funeral home will open up at 8:00 a.m. for viewing. At 10:00 a.m. there will be a ceremony performed by Samantha’s sorority. Once the ceremony begins no one will be allowed to enter or exit.

People can also arrive directly at the church Friday starting at 10:00 a.m. There will be designated parking in front of the main entrance to the church for marked police vehicles.

Honor guard members will participate in the Thursday viewing as well as on Friday. Selected KPD personnel will be serving as uniformed pallbearers.

Pallbearers and motor units are to arrive at the Funeral Home no later than 9:30 a.m. on Friday. They are to meet with Bill Piet, Funeral Director. At the direction of the funeral home, only motor units will participate in the procession from the funeral home to the church. They will depart the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. to head to the church.

At the church service the family will be sitting in the center seats. Pallbearers will be sitting to the right of the family (when facing the stage). Pallbearers will be seated in rows “C” and “D”. Kyle Police personnel and their spouses will be seated in rows “E” through “I” with SMPD and HCSO seated in rows “J” through “L”.

After the church service the procession will leave and head to Sunset Cementary, located at 1701 Austin Hwy. San Antonio, Tx. This procession will take approximately 40 minutes.
