Hays County Thanksgiving Closures
Hays County Courthouse, San Marcos, TX – Hays County offices will be closed Wednesday, November 23 through Friday, November 25 for the Thanksgiving holidays. This also includes the City of San Marcos Municipal Court located at the Government Center in San Marcos. Offices will open at their regular times on Monday, November 28.
Hays County Recycling & Solid Waste Centers will be closed Wednesday through Saturday, November 23-26. The Centers are closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Commissioners Court will not be held on Tuesday, November 29.
The County Clerk’s Offices will be closed Wednesday, November 30, from 8 a.m. to Noon for staff training. Normal hours for both the San Marcos and Kyle locations are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but on Wednesdays the San Marcos location at the Government Center is open until 6 p.m.
City Offices Closed for Thanksgiving
Municipal Court Closed Wednesday
City of San Marcos offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 24 and 25, for the Thanksgiving Holiday, with Thursday and Friday garbage collection postponed for a day.
San Marcos Municipal Court, located at the Hays County Government Center at 712 South Stagecoach Road, will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 23 to coincide with the Hays County holiday facility closings.
Residential trash and recycling pick up by Texas Disposal Service will be rolled from Thursday to Friday and Friday’s pick up will be moved to Saturday. Residents should have containers at the curb by 7 a.m.
Facilities closed for Thursday and Friday include City Hall, Library, Activity Center, Animal Shelter, Utility Offices, Municipal Court, Parks and Recreation, Environmental Health and the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center. The Animal Shelter will be closed from Thursday, Nov. 24 through Sunday, Nov. 27. The Activity Center will close at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23 and open for regular hours on Saturday, Nov. 26.
The Library will be open for normal Saturday and Sunday hours. Other offices will reopen at usual times on Monday, Nov. 28.
