On April 20, 2015 at 11:30 p.m. the Hays County Sheriff’s Office responded to Jack C. Hays High School, 4800 Jack C. Hays Trail, Kyle Texas, in reference to a Terroristic Threat that had been written on a bathroom wall. The content of the message predicted a future violent event to occur at the school.
The incident was profiled on Crime Stoppers and Campus Crime Stoppers which resulted in multiple tips to law enforcement. The tips were investigated and the juvenile suspect has been identified and detained this afternoon. He has been charged with:
- Terroristic Threat, Penal Code 22.07, Misdemeanor A
- Graffiti, Penal Code 28.08, State Jail Felony
There is no indication of any other suspects involved in this incident. The investigation was a cooperative effort between law enforcement and school officials.
The Sheriff’s Office is still seeking information regarding a similar incident reported at Lehman High School on April 17, 2015.
