UPDATE:Terroristic Threat At Hays High School Ends In Detention Of Juvenile

On April 20, 2015 at 11:30 p.m. the Hays County Sheriff’s Office responded to Jack C. Hays High School, 4800 Jack C. Hays Trail, Kyle Texas, in reference to a Terroristic Threat that had been written on a bathroom wall. The content of the message predicted a future violent event to occur at the school.
 
The incident was profiled on Crime Stoppers and Campus Crime Stoppers which resulted in multiple tips to law enforcement. The tips were investigated and the juvenile suspect has been identified and detained this afternoon. He has been charged with:
  • Terroristic Threat, Penal Code 22.07, Misdemeanor A
  • Graffiti, Penal Code 28.08, State Jail Felony
There is no indication of any other suspects involved in this incident. The investigation was a cooperative effort between law enforcement and school officials.
 
 
The Sheriff’s Office is still seeking information regarding a similar incident reported at Lehman High School on April 17, 2015. Anyone with information regarding this case should contact the Hays County Sheriff’s Office at 512-393-7896 and ask to speak with the Criminal Investigations Division or you may contact the Hays County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-324-TIPS (8477). You may also submit your information electronically from the link on the Hays County Crime Stoppers website or by using the free “TipSubmit” application from a smart phone.
 
Should your information lead to the arrest and indictment of the suspect(s), you will be eligible for a CASH reward of up to $1,000. All calls are confidential and callers will remain anonymous. You do not have to give your name and you will not have to testify in court.
