The United States Postal Service (USPS) is planning a rate increase in 2019. The USPS recently announced its fiscal 2018 financial results, posting a loss of $3.78 billion on revenue of $70.66 billion.
The USPS wants to raise the price of its first-class mail forever stamp from 50 to 55 cents, which would reportedly be the biggest price hike since 1991.
The proposed 5-cent increase introduced to the Postal Regulatory Commission is set to take effect on Jan. 27, 2019. The USPS also proposed increasing priority mail rates by 5.9 percent and priority mail express rates by 3.9 percent.
The final rates below were posted on the USPS website Dec. 14.
