From top to bottom, the Municipal Complex is coming together. With the exterior wall frame now up for City Hall, it’s on to the next step.
“They’re already popping lines for the interior walls. They’ll start framing the exterior walls this next week,“ said Project Manager Ray Creswell.
Steel for the library will arrive and be erected within the next two weeks.
Inside the Public Safety Building you can actually see where some of the offices will be located.
“They’re already putting up interior stud walls. All the exterior sheathing is in place and the roofing has been installed. It’s moving quite fast.
What was once a pile of dirt is now transforming into a parking lot near the Public Safety Building. The drainage channel is also coming together.
“As far as the channel wall, they’re almost 95 percent complete with it. There will still be stone at the far end of the headwall of the channel that they’ll be putting up. They’re actually pouring the headwall on the other side of the culverts for that channel.”
As far as the buildings go, the slowest part will be the interior work.
“Once they start putting up the sheet rock and putting up finishes, that will be the longest drawn out part of it.”
