The City of San Marcos is now accepting photo entries for the SummerFest Virtual Children’s Patriotic Costume Contest.
In an effort to continue the fun tradition for families, the annual contest will be administered through Facebook due to the in-person event cancellation caused by the spread of COVID-19.
Photos will be accepted until Friday, June 26. Voting will take place on the Community Services Facebook Page, www.facebook.com/smtxcs, from 8 AM on Wednesday, July 1 until 11:59 PM on Sunday, July 5.
This contest is sponsored by San Marcos Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and the City of San Marcos (COSM).
By participating in the contest, each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by the following rules and guidelines.

PHOTO RELEASE
By entering this contest, entrants permit the COSM to use the photos for City publications, promotions and any third-party media coverage as the department deems necessary unless the participant expressly files a written objection to the use of photos of themselves and/or their children.

No. This is pathetic.
I'm sick of hearing them cry that they want to see their friends. I'm not going to keep reminding my kids about the things the City Council has dictated they cannot do.
Uncork yourselves and OPEN UP.
