The City of San Marcos is working in partnership with Hays County, the Blanco Regional Recovery Team and surrounding communities to provide a Volunteer Resource Center (VRC) for flood survivors and those wishing to volunteer in San Marcos and surrounding areas.

The VRC is set to open Tuesday, November 3 at Dunbar Recreation Center at 801 Martin Luther King Dr. in San Marcos. The center will be open Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

People who wish to volunteer to help with flood related needs, and flood survivors who need assistance with cleaning or repairing flood-damaged homes can register at the center or call 512.677.9701.

Flood information is available on the City’s website at www.sanmarcostx.gov/smtxflood. Residents are also urged to sign up for emergency alerts at www.sanmarcostx.gov/emergency, and follow the City on social media at www.sanmarcostx.gov/facebook and www.sanmarcostx.gov/twitter.
