The northbound I-35 exit ramp #223A to SH 45SE and SH 130 will be closed for pavement repairs over the weekend starting May 5, weather permitting.
The ramp will close at 9 p.m. on Friday, May 5 until no later than 5 a.m. on Monday, May 8 while crews work. Drivers should use the FM 1327 exit (#223) to reach SH 45SE.
Ground water levels adjacent to the ramp rose due to the large amount of rain last year, leading to pavement failures on the I-35 exit ramp to SH 45SE. TxDOT engineers approved repairs for the ramp, which are now complete, leaving the pavement work as the final step in restoring the ramp to full operation.
Road signs have been placed alerting drivers of the closure. Motorists should allow extra time to travel through this area. TxDOT asks the traveling public to be patient and remain aware when traveling through the detour.
