183 South scheduled road construction, closures, detours for week of November 8

Austin — Short and long-term lane, road closures, and detours that may impact drivers along US 183 and adjacent roadways in east Austin.
Below is an overview of the 183 South project’s lane, road, and ramp closures. Work continues along US 183, including bridge construction, roadway installation, sound wall work, utility work.
The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority is an independent government agency created in 2002 to improve the transportation system in Williamson and Travis counties.
The Mobility Authority is overseen by a seven-member Board of Directors. The Governor appoints the Chairman, and the Travis and Williamson counties Commissioners Courts each appoint three members to serve on the Board.

SHORT TERM
SHOULDER CLOSURE — 11/8/21 to 11/13/21 — SIGN INSTALLATION
Monday-Saturday (11/8-11/13) Monday-Saturday (11/8-11/13) 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mobile Ops: shoulders on US 183 mainlanes/183 Toll between US 290 and SH 71 in both directions will be closed.
LANE CLOSURE — 11/8/21 to 11/11/21 — PAVING
Monday-Thursday (11/8-11/11) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., MLK Blvd in both directions the right lane will be closed at US 183
RAMP CLOSURE — 11/8/21 to 11/11/21 — PAVING
Monday-Thursday (11/8-11/11) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., north to south U-turn will be closed at MLK Blvd.
LANE CLOSURE — 11/8/21 to 11/9/21 — LANDSCAPING
Monday-Tuesday (11/8-11/9) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., 183 Toll left lane in both directions will be closed between US 290 and Loyola Lane

Monday-Wednesday (11/8-11/10) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., MLK Blvd in both directions will be reduced to one lane at US 183

Monday-Wednesday (11/8-11/10) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., US 183 general-purpose and 183 Toll in both directions will be reduced to one lane between Loyola and Hudson St.

CONTINUOUS CLOSURE: Wednesday, 9/1 at 6 p.m. to Sunday, 12/5 at 6 p.m., Eastbound 7th St. will be closed at US 183. Detour to Airport Blvd. southbound entry ramp via Levander Loop.
