Currently, the I-35 main lanes go under Posey Road with the new configuration, I-35 main lanes will going over Posey Road.
This project is made possible by a partnership between Hays County/TxDOT and is expected to cost $31.7 million funded by TxDOT.
The I-35 and Posey Road construction started in February 2019 and anticipated construction completion is planned for mid-2021. The project contractor is Webber, LLC.

New U-turn bridges will be added in both directions at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, and the I-35 main lanes will be widened to incorporate shoulders and extended entrance/exit lanes to allow for better merging.
This major project is estimated to cost $78.8 million. Construction started in July 2016 with the anticipated completion in late 2020. The contractor for this project is OHL, USA, Inc.

Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed from William Cannon Drive to Stassney Lane.
• Saturday, Oct. 3 from 9 p.m. until 10 a.m.
Eastbound and westbound William Cannon Drive closed at I-35.
• Saturday, Oct. 3 from 9 p.m. until 10 a.m.
Eastbound and westbound Stassney Lane closed at I-35.
• Saturday, Oct. 3 from 9 p.m. until 10 a.m.
Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly at Slaughter Lane. The Slaughter Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.
• Sunday, Oct. 4 through Tuesday, Oct. 6 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Northbound I-35 right lane closed nightly from Slaughter Lane to Stassney Lane. Multiple ramps will also be closed.
• Sunday, Oct. 4 through Thursday, Oct. 8 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily from Foremost Drive to Slaughter Lane.
• Monday, Oct. 5 through Saturday, Oct. 10 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly from Slaughter Lane to Stassney Lane. The Slaughter Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.
• Tuesday, Oct. 6 through Friday, Oct. 9 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

The construction started in September 2019 and is anticipated to conclude in Fall 2020, weather permitting. The projected project cost is estimated at $8.15 million and the contractor is Chasco Constructors.

I-35 from Rundberg Lane to US 290 East is estimated to cost $124.2 million and is made possible by Texas Clear Lanes Congestion Relief Fund.
The construction commenced in January 2018 with an anticipated completion date in mid-2021. The contractor for this project is J.D. Abrams.

Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed nightly from Norwood Park Boulevard to Fenelon Drive.
• Sunday, Oct. 4 through Tuesday, Oct. 5 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly from Rundberg Lane to US 183. The Rundberg Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.
• Sunday, Oct. 4 through Thursday, Oct. 8 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Southbound US 183 right lane closed from I-35 to the Cameron Road exit.
• Sunday, Oct. 4 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed nightly from Blackson Avenue to Huntland Drive.
• Sunday, Oct. 4 through Thursday, Oct. 8 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from Blackson Avenue to Huntland Drive.
• Monday, Oct. 5 through Friday, Oct. 9 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The estimated construction cost is $10.7 million. Construction commenced in mid-2019 with an anticipated completion date for early 2021. Jordan Foster Construction is the contractor for this project.

Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly from US 79 to RM 1431. The RM 1431 exit #256 and the Westinghouse Road exit #257 will also be closed.
• Sunday, Oct. 4 through Monday, Oct. 5 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Northbound and southbound I-35 left lane closed nightly from FM 3406 to Teravista Parkway.
• Tuesday, Oct. 6 through Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane at RM 1431.
• Thursday, Oct. 8 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

The projected cost is estimated at $8.2 million and funded by CAMPO and TxDOT. Construction will start August 2020 and anticipated to be complete in mid-2021. The project contractor is Jordan Foster Construction.
