everything they can to minimize disruptions.
I-35 CORRIDOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
MONDAY 9/10 – FRIDAY 9/14
I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE
PROJECT OVERVIEW | The project will reconstruct the bridge structures at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, as well as the frontage road bridge over Williamson Creek.
New U-turn bridges will be added in both directions at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, and the I-35 mainlanes will be widened to incorporate shoulders and extended entrance/exit lanes to allow for better merging.
Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements are also being made, and new safety lighting is being installed.

- Northbound I-35 closed under William Cannon Dr. Use the frontage road and the William Cannon Dr. exit (#228). | 10 PM until 4 AM Wednesday, September 12 through Thursday, September 13
- Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed approaching the William Cannon Dr. exit. | 3 PM until 5 AM Monday, September 10 through Wednesday, September 12
- Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed between Little Texas Ave. and William Cannon Dr. | 8 PM until 5 AM Monday, September 10 through Friday, September 14
- Northbound I-35 left lane closed at William Cannon Dr. | 9 PM until 5 AM Monday, September 10 through Tuesday, September 11
- Northbound I-35 frontage road closed at Teri Rd. The I-35 entrance ramp will remain open. | 3 PM until 5 AM Wednesday, September 12 through Saturday, September 15

I-35 AT OLTORF ST.
PROJECT OVERVIEW | Improvements include the reconstruction of the Oltorf Street bridge, improving entrance/exit ramps and frontage roads, constructing new extended entrance/exit lanes for mainlanes and ramps, and adding U-turns in both directions at Oltorf Street.
Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements will also be made along the I-35 frontage roads in each direction within the project limits.

- Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane between SH 71 and Oltorf St. The Oltorf St. exit will also be closed. | 10 PM until 5 AM Monday, September 10 through Tuesday, September 11
- Various southbound I-35 ramp closures between Manor Rd. and Holly St. | 10 PM until 5 AM Monday, September 10 through Tuesday, September 11
- Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed between Oltorf St. and the Woodward St. exit. | 9 AM until 3 PM Tuesday, September 11 through Wednesday, September 12
- Various I-35 frontage road closures in both directions across Oltorf St. | 8 PM until 5 AM Wednesday, September 12 through Thursday, September 13

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LN. TO US 290 EAST
PROJECT OVERVIEW | This project includes main-lanes and frontage road reconstruction and the addition of three new flyovers at US 183.
The project also includes reconstruction of the St. Johns Avenue Bridge, the addition of frontage road U-turns on both sides, intersection bypass lanes under St. Johns Avenue in both directions, extended entrance/exit lanes, and ramp and shoulder improvements.

I-35 AT FM 3406
PROJECT OVERVIEW | The intersection of FM 3406 and the I-35 frontage roads are being improved, and the FM 3406 bridge over I-35 is being reconstructed.
The FM 3406 (Old Settlers Blvd) bridge will close to eastbound traffic. Westbound traffic will detour to the newly constructed U-turn Bridge. | Until summer 2018, weather permitting.

I–35 FROM US 79 TO SH 45 NORTH
PROJECT OVERVIEW | New braided ramps (where one ramp crosses over the other) are being constructed along the northbound I-35 mainlanes between Hester’s Crossing and RM 620 to eliminate merging conflicts.
The northbound and southbound intersections of US 79 and the I-35 frontage roads are also being reconstructed to add a third left-turn for westbound US 79.
