Weekly Road Construction, Traffic Report, Low Water Crossings For San Marcos

 McCARTY LANE: As part of the City’s new pavement management program to provide preventative maintenance to city streets, McCarty Lane from IH-35 to the railroad crossing will undergo street maintenance on June 13 – 17 daily from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Project length is estimated 5 days, weather permitting. WONDER WORLD DRIVE AT THE CENTER TEXAS MEDICAL CENTER: City contractor will be working in the area to repair a water leak. The closure is currently scheduled for June 7, weather permitting. Future closures will also occur through the end of June as needed. The outside lane of westbound Wonder World Drive will be reduced to 10 foot during the day. The outside lane of eastbound Wonder World Drive will be closed from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Project will last until the end of June. LAUREL/CHARLES AUSTIN/LP 82: The outside right lane from Laurel St. heading west bound to the Charles Austin intersection and the outside right lane from 300’ east of Sessom Drive on the east bound lanes through the LP 82/Charles Austin intersection will be closed for the installation of traffic signal poles on south and north side of the road. Please use alternate route as detour. This will occur on Wednesday June 8 and June 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting. TxDOT, 512.619.4676 June 8 @ 9 a.m. June 9 @ 4 p.m.
IH35/YARRINGTON: The southbound exit ramp 210 will be under maintenance to widen ramp on June 6 and 7 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. TxDOT, 737.600.3137 June 6 @ 9 a.m. June 7 @ 3 p.m.
 HOLLAND/MOORE ST: Beginning Monday, February 15 at 7 a.m. Moore Street at Holland will be closed to correct traffic flow issues and to make enhancements to the Holland St. entrance into the Speck garage; however, the east entrance into Speck Garage on Academy St. will remain open.  816 HOPKINS: The alley way between 817 Hopkins and Belvin St. will be under construction for street maintenance  through June 10 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily, weather permitting. Alley will be passable to thru traffic. City of San Marcos Streets Dept., 512.393.8025  Present June 10 @ 5 p.m.
ED J.L. GREEN: Advance notice of street maintenance from Sessom Dr. to Laurel Ridge on March 8 through April 11 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m daily, except weekends. Please park your vehicle off the street or it may be towed. Project is estimated to last approximately 4 to 6 weeks, weather permitting.  NORTH LBJ FROM CAMARO WAY TO CRADDOCK: This road will be open to two-way traffic, but the lanes will be shifted west to allow space for the City contractor to construct a new lift station on the corner of N. EAST SAN ANTONIO STREET: Half a block closed from the alley to N. LBJ every Saturday from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. for the Farmers Market on the Square. Main Street Program, 512.393.8430. Year Round
