Wellness Wednesdays To Begin At Price Center And CTMC

The Price Center is teaming up with Central Texas Medical Center’s (CTMC) CREATION Health Institute to begin offering Wellness Wednesday, a FREE interactive weekly class or service related to health and wellness led by clinicians and wellness experts to promote wellness, provide resources and encourage a healthy lifestyle.  Wellness Wednesday will take place each Wednesday from 9:30a.m. – 11a.m. at the Price Center beginning July 15.

“Active aging is the core of the Price Center’s philosophy and programming,” said Ron Jager, president of the Greater San Marcos Area Seniors Association, which operates the Price Center. “We are very pleased to be partnering with CTMC to bring these helpful programs and services to our members and the greater downtown community.”

Wellness Wednesday at the Price Center will kick off with a 9-week seminar series titled CREATION Health and continue weekly with other free health screenings and seminars, including programming focused on improving balance, diabetes education, nutritional instruction and blood glucose and blood pressure checks.

Current “active aging” programs at the Price Center include weekly bridge games, a weekly quilting club, monthly porcelain painters club, community-based musical and dramatic theatrical performances, musical performances, social gatherings, dance classes and weekly chair yoga classes.

Seating is limited for Wellness Wednesday programming and reservations are required. For more information about specific programs or to RSVP, please call the CREATION Health Institute at (512) 753-3818. For more information about the Price Center programs and services, please visit www.price-center.org or call (512) 392-2900.
