What To Watch During Kyle’s Next City Council Meeting

1. (Second Reading) An Ordinance amending Chapter 53 (Zoning) of the City of Kyle, Texas for the purpose of rezoning approximately 78 acres of land from Entertainment District ‘E’ to Warehouse District ‘W’ for property located at 24801 N. IH-35, in Hays County, Texas. (FM 158 Land, Ltd. – Z-17-012) ~ J. Scott Sellers, City Manager

 °Planning and Zoning Commission voted 3-2 to recommend approval of the request.

2. (First Reading) An Ordinance of the City of Kyle, Texas, in accordance with Chapter 47, Article III authorizing and directing the installation and erection of NO PARKING signs to prohibit parking on Lox from East RR 150 to Stennis in the city limits of Kyle; fixing a penalty therefor; providing for severability; providing for repeal of conflicting ordinances; and ordaining other provisions related to the subject matter ~ J. Scott Sellers, City Manager

5. (First Reading) An Ordinance amending the Code of Ordinances of the City of Kyle, Texas; amending Chapter 53 (“Zoning”), Article 1; Article IV; Division 1; authorizing the City Secretary to amend ordinance 438 of the City of Kyle so as to reflect this change; adding definitions; providing standards to encourage diversity of neighborhood and housing design in Kyle; creating a conditional use process for the review and approval of new one- and two-family housing subdivisions; providing standards for determining appropriateness of neighborhood design; providing standards for determining appropriateness of residential architecture and architectural ~ J. Scott Sellers, City Manager

6. (Second Reading) An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Kyle, Texas to repeal Chapter 38, Division 2, Paragraphs 38-41 thru 38-44, and to amend the City’s Official Code of Ordinances Chapter 47 in its entirety, to prescribe the lawful time, manner, and place for parking, stopping, and/or standing of automobiles and trailers upon both public rights of way and private property, providing a penalty for violations, providing for severability, and providing an effective ~ James R. Earp, Assistant City Manager

7. Consideration and possible action as may be appropriate in regards to authorizing the Mayor to execute a Development Agreement for 171 acres bounded by Opal and Roland Lane, currently owned by the Driskell family, with Intermandeco, the proposed developer of the ~ James R. Earp, Assistant City Manager

8. Consider and possible action on amendment to existing approval of the downtown revitalization grant awarded to 110 W. Center St. in the amount of $19,000. ~ Diana Torres, Director of Economic Development
