What You Need To Know About Buda’s Planning & Zoning Meeting Tonight

The City of Buda Planning & Zoning at tonight’s meeting will be reviewing Buda’s Capital Improvement Program FY 2018 – 2022. Below is a list of all the items and ‘Estimated Total Costs’ for review.

  • Phase I of Garison Park development: Estimated Cost $4 Milton
  • Sports Complex Field Lights: Estimated Cost $400,000
  • Greenbelt Improvements (Downtown Plan): Estimated Cost $775,000
  • Eastside Community Park Land Acquisition: Estimated Cost $3,750,000
  • Aquatic Center Feasibility Study: Estimated Cost $ 3,875,000

MUNICIPAL FACILITIES

  • Public Works Facility: Estimated Cost $ 6,750,000

 WATER & WASTEWATER PROJECTS

The Hays Caldwell Public Utility Agency (HCPUA) is comprised of four primary entities: Buda, Kyle, San Marcos, and the Canyon Regional Water Authority.

The HCPUA is developing a new groundwater supply source from the Carrizo Aquifer in Caldwell County for its partners. Buda’s retains a 5.08% interest in the HCPUA project, which will be completed by 2023.

This project will provide Buda with an additional 0.68 MGD of base supply.:

Future projects are those that have been identified by the City as potential projects within the five to ten year planning horizon.

Project costs are estimated at today’s dollars. Further analysis and consideration would be required on the projects before including in the Capital Improvements Plan.
