When Taking Down Your OSHA Form 300A – Do This One Thing

Safety First Consulting helps businesses identify OSHA compliance issues in their workplaces, manage their safety programs, and we become accountable for the results.

OSHA Form 300A summaries of last year’s injuries and illnesses must be posted for most employers through April 30 of each year.

However, many employers make a serious mistake after taking down their Form 300As, which could result in an OSHA citation.

After the OSHA Form 300A has been taken down, keep the document on file for at least 5 years.

If completed properly, the form should have been signed and dated by the most senior company executive at the location/establishment.

This signed and dated 300A is required documentation to show OSHA the document was prepared by February 1.
