Willow Springs Creek Drainage Work

Public Meeting Set for Tuesday in Victory Gardens Park
City engineers and contractors will meet with local residents at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 31 at Victory Gardens Park, 300 Roosevelt St., to discuss upcoming work in the Willow Springs Creek drainage channel.
This project is associated with the Victory Gardens Subdivision Improvements that will begin later this spring.
Improvements to the channel include installation of a 24” wastewater line, drainage improvements, landscaping, and construction of a maintenance path along the top of the embankment.
Smith Contracting Company, Inc. of Austin was awarded the $2.7 million contract by City Council March 3, 2015. Construction is scheduled to begin in late April and last approximately 18 months.
In the event of rain, the meeting will be moved to Southside Community Center, 518 South Guadalupe Street.
All interested residents are encouraged to attend.
