A parent’s illness can negatively affect a child’s mental health and school performance.
On Friday, Oct. 20, Wonders & Worries will host their 10th Anniversary Clay Shoot, the No Worries Classic.
Breakfast will be served to attendees at 9 a.m.; a luncheon buffet will be served from 11:45 a.m. to 12.45 p.m. At 12:15 p.m., the Mebane Family will speak before an awards presentation and live auction begin.
Wonders & Worries is a local nonprofit organization that helps children with ill parents.
A parent’s illness can negatively affect a child’s mental health and school performance. The No Worries Classic fundraiser ensures that all Wonders & Worries’ services can continue to be offered at no cost to families in English and Spanish.
To date, the No Worries Classic has raised more than $2.5 million. Twenty teams will shoot clay targets, compete in target games, participate in a cowboy auctioneer-led live auction and win prizes. Since 2001, Wonders & Worries has provided free, professional support to more than 7,000 Central Texas children and their family members during a parent’s severe illness.
The event will occur at the Texas Disposal Systems Exotic Game Ranch and Pavilion at 11508 Carl Road, Buda, TX 78610. Parking will be clearly marked.
No Worries Classic will be presented by the Alice Kleberg Reynolds Foundation.
