Light to moderate winds, warm temperatures, abundant afternoon sunshine, and increasing incoming background levels could be enough for ozone to reach the lower to middle end of the “Moderate” range in parts of the El Paso and Midland-Odessa areas, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening.
Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds, cool temperatures, heavy cloud cover with lingering precipitation, and/or lower incoming background levels should help keep air quality in the “Good” range in most spots.

Light to moderate winds, warming temperatures, abundant afternoon sunshine, and increasing incoming background levels could be enough for ozone to reach the lower to middle end of the “Moderate” range in parts of the Dallas-Fort Worth, El Paso, Houston, San Antonio, and Waco-Killeen areas, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening.
Additionally, light winds and limited vertical mixing could allow fine particulate matter to build up over portions of far West Texas, possibly raising the daily PM2.5 and PM10 AQIs to the lower to middle end of the “Moderate” range in parts of the El Paso area as well.
Elsewhere in the state, moderate winds, lingering cloud cover, and/or lower incoming background levels should help keep air quality in the “Good” range in most spots.
