FORECAST REGION | WED OCT 30 |
THU OCT 31 |
FRI NOV 1 |
---|---|---|---|
Austin & Central Texas Region | GOOD | GOOD | GOOD |
WEDNESDAY 10/30/2019
Moderate to strong winds, cold temperatures, heavy cloud cover with precipitation, and/or low incoming background levels associated with an advancing strong cold front should help keep air quality in the “Good” range in most spots statewide.
THURSDAY 10/31/2019
Very light winds, abundant sunshine, and increased incoming background levels could be enough for ozone to possibly reach the lower end of the “Moderate” range in parts of the El Paso area, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening.
Elsewhere in the state, moderate to strong winds, cold temperatures, lingering cloud cover, and/or lower incoming background levels should help keep air quality in the “Good” range in most spots.
FRIDAY 11/1/2019
Very light winds and abundant sunshine could be enough for ozone to possibly reach the upper end of the “Good” range (perhaps with an isolated low “Moderate” or two) in parts of the Houston area, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening.
Very light winds and limited vertical mixing could be enough for urban fine particulate to build up over portions of far West Texas, possibly raising the daily PM2.5 and PM10 AQIs to the lower to middle end of the “Moderate” range, with highest concentrations in the morning and evening.
Otherwise and elsewhere in the state, moderate to strong winds, cold temperatures, and/or lower incoming background levels should help keep air quality in the “Good” range in most spots.
