Party in Your Park is a series of events bringing positive attention to the city’s neighborhood parks four times a year. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public. Attendees will enjoy a fun, safe evening while socializing with their neighbors.

Activities will include Gaga Ball, Mega Jenga, Giant Connect 4 and other oversized yard games. Healthy snacks and refreshments will be provided at no cost. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or folding chairs to sit on if needed.

Texas State University’s Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority will be on site giving away free backpacks and school supplies to attendees. Alpha Kappa Alpha was founded in 1908 and is committed to cultivating and encouraging high scholastic and ethical standards; to promoting unity and friendship among college women; to studying and helping alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their social stature; and to maintaining a progressive interest in college life and to be of service to all mankind.
