SPECIAL UPDATE: Following last week’s traffic shift at FM 969 (MLK Boulevard), the project team implemented changes to improve traffic flow. These included signal timing adjustments, and adding signage and striping to help drivers navigate the intersection more easily. These changes led to improved operations and circulation through the intersection.
The project team also made other changes in response to community feedback, including delaying the closure of the crossovers at Hudson Street and Central Avenue. This preserves additional crossing access options for drivers while the FM 969 bypass lanes are being completed. In addition, closing the TechniCenter Drive crossing has been delayed while additional access options are explored.
