2016 VA Mental Health Summit

 

On July 28, Gary Job Corps Color Guard performed for the 2016 VA Mental Health Summit held at the Audie Murphy VA Hospital in San Antonio.  Students from the Corrections and Security program at the Gary Job Corps serve as members of the Gary Color Guard. 

 

They have performed at many activities included are the American GI Forum Conference, Juneteenth Parade in Martindale, and 9/11 Remembrance.  

 

On stage Dr. Emma Mata-Galan, Chief Psychology Service, Roberto Barrera, National Commander Disabled American Veterans, Dr. Mary Kaye Johnson, Licensed Clinical Psychologist Local Recovery Care Coordinator, from Gary Job Corps, Instructor Captain Preston Smith, Corrections cadets, Savannah Castillo, Devontrey Birotte, Ryan Love, Emily Pena, Jessica Perez, Cynthia Gonaglez, Quin-Zell Price, and Jesus Hernandez.
