Texas A&M, ranked No. 16 in the latest Golfstat poll, won the team title at the 54-hole event with a 5-under 859 score. No. 19 Oklahoma State placed second with a 10-over 874 tally, while Washington (+11, 875) came in third. Fourth went to Idaho (+13, 877) and fifth to No. 21 Texas (+16, 880).
Texas State finished with a 30-over 894 for its 10th-place finish, finishing six strokes behind host-Hawaii (+24, 888) and seven behind No. 34 North Carolina (+23, 885).
Maddie Szeryk of Texas A&M, the 10th ranked individual in the NCAA, claimed individual medalist honors with a 9-under 207 (67-71-69).
Mora tied for third in the 95-competitor field with a 3-under three-round score of 212 (73-68-71). The top-10 finish marks the of her collegiate career and the highest by a Bobcat this season. Mora closed the tournament with a 1-under 71, which featured three birdies and 14 pars. The Nantes, France, native finished the tournament with 11 total birdies and 38 pars.
Sasikarn Somboonsup tied for 11th overall after playing each round at even-par for a 216. Somboonsup’s 72 on Wednesday included three birdies, three bogeys and 12 pars. The sophomore concluded the event with 36 pars and nine birdies.
Maty Monzingo used rounds of 79-78-78 to post a 19-over 235. Monzingo’s final day was highlighted by a birdie and 11 pars.
Raksha Phadke (77-80-81) and Sarah White (86-78-76) totaled event scores of 238 (+22) and 240 (+24), respectively. Phadke counted seven pars during her final round and White 10 pars and two birdies.
Texas State next competes at the HBU Husky Invitational in Houston, Texas, on Mon., March 27 and Tues., March 28.
