Breaking: Hays County Sheriff’s Office Reports Positive Rabies Case In Kyle

Citizens are urged not to pick up a bat that they find lying on the ground.

The Hays County Sheriff’s Office took a report from a male complainant who was bitten by a bat on June 13, 2017.

It occurred in area of Pin Oak Drive in Kyle, Texas. Test results came back positive for rabies.

Citizens are urged not to pick up a bat that they find lying on the ground. Call the Animal Control unit in your area so that they can dispose of the bat properly after testing.
