BREAKING: SMPD Seeks Suspect Who Attempted To Kick In Front Door Of Private Residence

According to the Police Department, the residents were home at the time of the incident, and the suspect was “likely spooked after the lights were activated inside” the home.

The San Marcos Police Department is seeking help from the community to identify the suspect, who attempted to kick in the front door of a home.

On Sunday, June 24, a camera caught video of a man approaching a residence in the El Camino Real subdivision and attempting to kick down the front door. The door frame was cracked.

According to the Police Department, the residents were home at the time of the incident, and the suspect was “likely spooked after the lights were activated inside” the home.

Anyone with information about this incident and or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact SMPD’s Criminal Investigation Division at 512-753-2300. Video of the suspect during the incident can be found below.
