CAPCOG's New Executive Committee Members For 2019
The Capital Area Council of Governments is conducting a public safety workshop for elected officials on the topics of homeland security, emergency communication and law enforcement.
Geared towards CAPCOG’s General Assembly representatives, the workshop will explain the tools, plans, and projects CAPCOG has available to help ensure the public safety of residents living in the ten-county region. Directors from the public safety related divisions also will discuss best practices pertaining to their area of expertise such as budgeting for law enforcement departments and their continued education.

Missing & Exploited Children
The four-hour, missing and exploited children course instructs peace officers about responding to and investigating cases involving abductions, children displaced by disasters, runaways, and more. It also teaches peace officers about investigating and responding to cases involving sexually abused children.
This course provides officers with a general overview of working on such cases.

State & Federal Law Updates
This class instructs law enforcement officers in the changes and updates to the law as occurred during the 83rd Legislative Session of the Texas Congress. This class is mandatory for Peace Officers.
