City Of Buda, Local Community Organizations Gear Up For Buda Legislative Day

The City of Buda announced Thursday, Feb. 14, the city, the Buda Economic Development Corporation, the Buda Area Chamber of Commerce and other community organizations are gearing up for “Buda Legislative Day” at  the Capitol.

On February 27, 2019, city leaders will have the opportunity to meet lawmakers and discuss upcoming legislation that could impact the Buda community. 

Representatives from Buda will meet with lawmakers to discuss the needs and legislative priorities for the community. Buda Legislative Day will include recognition of the delegation in both the House and Senate and meetings with specific representatives and senators to discuss bills affecting Buda such as House Bill 1044 filed by Representative Erin Zwiener and Senate Bill 483 filed by Senator Donna Campbell.  Both bills are aimed at improving the way the City can store and use water in aquifers for use in times of need.
