SAN MARCOS – The Department of Recreation at Texas State University will hold its 5th annual “Turkey Adventure Race” on Saturday, November 19.
The event will begin at 9 a.m., starting and ending at Sewell Park. Event challenges will be run by various Texas State student organizations and located across the Texas State campus.
Participants will compete in teams of two, with prizes awarded across a variety of categories. Online registration runs through 7 p.m. Friday, November 18 and costs $40. Participants may also register on-site the morning of the race for $50. Proceeds from the race benefit the professional development travel fund of the Association of Recreation Enthusiasts (A.R.E.).
The event is co-sponsored by Adidas. Participants will receive the event packet at the Adidas store in the San Marcos Tanger outlet mall November 14-18, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. each day.
