Friends Of The San Marcos Library To Host 3rd Annual Adult Spelling Bee

Registration is now open for the third annual Friends of the Library Spelling Bee fundraiser, held at Aquabrew, 150 S. LBJ Dr. on March 13 at 7 PM.

Teams of three participants aged 18 and up will compete for the title of 2019 Spelling Bee Champion Swarm of San Marcos. Teams will have 30 seconds to spell words on a whiteboard, tournament style, for a fast-paced fun time.

Funds raised from the event will assist the San Marcos Public Library in continuing to have high-quality book and digital book collections, as well as educational programming for children, teens and adults in the community.

To register for the tournament, teams must submit their registration form and $30 per team entry fee to the San Marcos Public Library information desk. Participation is limited to 15 teams, and registration ends February 18.

For more information, contact the San Marcos Public Library at (512) 393-8200.
