Job Corps is a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16 to 24 improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training. The Job Corps program is authorized by Title I-C of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014 (supersedes WIA 1998). Gary Job Corps Donates To Hays County Food Bank

The Gary Job Corps Student Government Association (SGA) and Recreation Department conducted a Food drive for the Hays County Food Bank to help feed those in need for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Thanks to  several staff who participated by bringing in can foods, nonperishable items and monetary donation of $229.65 we as a community brought in 208 lbs of food items feeding 10 families for a week.

Gary Job Corps Volunteering At Sights And Sounds Of Christmas

The Gary Center has volunteered for the past 19 years at the Sights and Sounds of Christmas.

The Gary Job Corps Center has had the Corrections/Security Cadets perform traffic and crowd control, Student Government Association students cooking the famous Dutch Oven Biscuits, and serving as Master of Ceremonies for the events.

Gary Job Corps Rings For Salvation Army

The Gary Job Corps Center has assisted the Salvation Army over the years with Bell Ringing and fundraising as the situation required.
