Goodnight MS Student To Receive An Award At Carnegie Hall

The Alliance for Young Artists and Writers notified Antu that her story earned a National Medal in the 2017 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for her flash fiction piece entitled “Daddy’s Little Girl.”

Goodnight Middle School eighth-grader, Julia Antu will attend the National Ceremony at Carnegie Hall in New York City on Thursday, June 8, 2017, to receive her award. More than 330,000 works of art and writing by students in grades 7-12 were submitted, placing Julia within the top 1% of all those students.

The San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District School Board recognized Antu at the May 15 board meeting for her writing.
