Hays County Courthouse, San Marcos, TX – The Hays County Commissioners Court Tuesday approved early voting sites and times for the November 2018 elections as well as the locations for November 6 Election Day.

Early voting begin October 22 and ends November 2.

Hays County Election Administrator Jennifer Anderson presented the lists and noted that both the chairs of the Democratic and Republican parties worked closely with her to find appropriate sites and times.

“We all appreciate those private locations who are allowing us to hold voting at their facilities,” Anderson said. “And this year, we’re pleased that we’ve added full-time early voting sites at Buda and Kyle City Halls to accommodate those growing populations. And with the opening of the new Buda City Hall, there should be plenty of room for voters there.”

Anderson noted that there will be additional early voting at Eikon Church, 400 Old Post Road, Kyle on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, October 22-24, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, October 27, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Any eligible voter registered in Hays County can vote at any Hays County voting location during early voting. On Election Day, voters must vote at their designated precinct location, Anderson said.

Some November 6 locations will be different from locations used in the past, and voters are encouraged to know their precinct number and specific voting location if they plan to vote on Election Day.

Election Day location changes include: Precinct 127 will vote at Eikon Church instead of Tobias Elementary School in Kyle, and Precincts 316 and 317 will vote at Stone Brook Senior Community, 300 Stagecoach Trail, San Marcos, instead of Hernandez Elementary School. Voters in Precinct 440 will vote at the Henly Fire Station on Election Day instead of the First Baptist Church.
