Hays County Sheriffs Office Participates In “No Shave November”, Raises Over $5,300 For Cancer Research
On January 8, 2018, Deputy Michael Kirkwood, the president of the Hays County Law Enforcement Association (HCLEA), presented a check to Executive Director Andrea Raurins of the South Region American Cancer Society in the amount of $5,375.

Raurins said that the money would be used in the region to benefit patient programs and research and was appreciative of the Sheriff’s Office efforts in raising the funds to help in
the fight against cancer.
Hays County Sheriff Gary Cutler was proud of his staff and their participation in this worthy program. “Each of us knows someone who has been affected by this terrible disease. Anything that we can do to help those fighting cancer as well as those trying to find a cure needs our help.”
