Hays County Sheriff’s Office Responds To Drowning At Dudley Johnson Park

On June 26, 2019, approximately 2:06 PM, Hays County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Dudley Johnson Park, also known as 5 Mile Dam, at 4444 S. Old Stagecoach Rd. for a report of a possible drowning.

The Hays County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by first responders from San Marcos, Kyle, and Texas Parks and Wildlife.

At approximately 3:27 PM, the 15-year-old male victim was located by the San Marcos Area Recovery Team (SMART) in the water near the area he had last been seen by witnesses. The investigation is ongoing, and no other information is available at this time.
