On Tuesday, September 8, 2020, approximately 7:02 PM, a deputy with the Hays County Sheriff’s Office attempted to make a traffic stop for a traffic violation on Ranch Road 12 in Wimberley, Texas.
The driver of the vehicle fled from the deputy and a pursuit was initiated.
The pursuit took place on parts of FM 3237, FM 150, and Ranch Road 12. Deputies were able to immobilize the suspect vehicle and end the pursuit in the 18000 block of Ranch Road 12 in Wimberley.
Once the vehicle was stopped a deputy discharged one round from his duty pistol. There were no injuries as a result of the discharge, and the case is under investigation. The driver of the vehicle was identified as:
Howard was arrested and booked into the Hays County Jail for the offenses of Driving While Intoxicated, 3rd or more, a 3rd-degree felony, Evading Arrest with a Vehicle, a 3rd-degree felony, Resisting Arrest, and Reckless Driving.
