Currently, the I-35 main lanes go under Posey Road with the new configuration, I-35 main lanes will going over Posey Road.
This project is made possible by a partnership between Hays County/TxDOT and is expected to cost $31.7 million funded by TxDOT.
The I-35 and Posey Road construction started in February 2019 and anticipated construction completion is planned for mid-2021. The project contractor is Webber, LLC. All closures are weather permitting.
• CURRENT TRAFFIC ADVISORIES •
Northbound I-35 Posey Road exit (#199) closed.
• Until further notice.
Southbound I-35 York Creek Road exit (#196) closed.
• Until further notice.
Northbound and southbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly from Centerpoint Road to York Creek Road.
• Friday, Oct. 16 through Sunday, Oct. 18 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Eastbound and westbound Posey Road closed from the southbound I-35 frontage road to Transportation Way.
• Friday, Oct. 16 at 9 p.m. through Monday, Oct. 19 until 5 a.m.

The estimated construction cost is $21.9 million and is funded by the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) and TxDOT. Construction commenced in September 2020 and is anticipated completion is early of 2022. Hunter Industries, Ltd is the contractor for this project. All closures are weather permitting.

Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed from RM 1626 to Kyle Crossing.

Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed from RM 150 to Brent Boulevard.

New U-turn bridges will be added in both directions at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, and the I-35 main lanes will be widened to incorporate shoulders and extended entrance/exit lanes to allow for better merging.
This major project is estimated to cost $78.8 million. Construction started in July 2016 with the anticipated completion in late 2020. The contractor for this project is OHL, USA, Inc. All closures are weather permitting.

Northbound I-35 closed nightly from Slaughter Lane to SH 71/US 290. Multiple entrance ramps will be closed as needed.
• Friday, Oct. 16 through Saturday, Oct. 17 from 9 p.m. until 10 a.m.
Southbound I-35 right lane closed at Slaughter Lane. The Slaughter Lane exit will also be closed.
• Saturday, Oct. 17 from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m.
Southbound I-35 right lane closed at William Cannon Drive. The William Cannon Drive exit (#228) will also be closed.
• Saturday, Oct. 17 from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m.
Eastbound Stassney Lane right-turn lane closed daily at the southbound I-35 frontage road.
• Saturday, Oct. 17 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Northbound I-35 left lane closed from Slaughter Lane to Stassney Lane. Multiple entrance ramps will be closed as needed.
• Sunday, Oct. 18 from 6 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Northbound I-35 right lane closed from Slaughter Lane to Stassney Lane.
• Sunday, Oct. 18 from 8 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Northbound I-35 right lane closed nightly from Slaughter Lane to Stassney Lane.
• Monday, Oct. 19 through Thursday, Oct. 23 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily from Colonial Park Boulevard to Stassney Lane.
• Monday, Oct. 19 through Friday, Oct. 24 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

I-35 from Rundberg Lane to US 290 East is estimated to cost $124.2 million and is made possible by Texas Clear Lanes Congestion Relief Fund.
The construction commenced in January 2018 with an anticipated completion date in mid-2021. The contractor for this project is J.D. Abrams. All closures are weather permitting.

Northbound I-35 right lane closed nightly at Rundberg Lane. The Rundberg Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.
• Sunday, Oct. 18 through Thursday, Oct. 22 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed nightly from US 290 East to Rundberg Lane.
• Sunday, Oct. 18 through Thursday, Oct. 22 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Southbound I-35 right two lanes closed nightly at US 183. The Rundberg Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.
• Sunday, Oct. 18 through Thursday, Oct. 22 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from St. Johns Avenue to Huntland Drive.
• Sunday, Oct. 18 through Friday, Oct. 23 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed nightly from St. Johns Avenue to Huntland Drive.
• Sunday, Oct. 18 through Thursday, Oct. 22 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Northbound I-35 Rundberg Lane exit (#241) closed.
• Monday, Oct. 19 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

The projected cost is estimated at $8.2 million and funded by CAMPO and TxDOT. Construction will start in August 2020 and anticipated to be complete in mid-2021. The project contractor is Jordan Foster Construction. All closures are weather permitting.

Construction started in July 2019 with an estimated timeline to be completed by mid-2021. Primoris Services Corporation as the project contractor. All closures are weather permitting.
