Monday Afternoon Update On School Closures Due To Weather

San Marcos CISD

Currently, they are scheduled for a normal school day on Tuesday, February 16. Any changes or adjustments will be communicated with families via email, social media, the district website, district app, and text messaging if a closure, delay, or move to virtual operations becomes necessary.

“We encourage families to download the San Marcos CISD app, especially for weather updates.”

Friendly Reminder: Friday, February 19, 2021, is the previously scheduled early release day for all SMCISD campuses. Pre-k and elementary campuses will dismiss at noon and secondary campuses will dismiss at 1:00 p.m. on this day.

Dripping Springs ISD

DSISD has announced that school is CANCELED Tuesday, Feb. 16, and Wednesday, Feb. 17. (The district previously had announced a shift to 100% remote learning on Tuesday.)

Hays CISD

Hays CISD announced early Monday all campuses would shift to 100% virtual learning through Friday, Feb. 19.

To aid in a reduction of demand on the power grid, all non-emergency virtual staff meetings, including professional development activities are canceled. Students and teachers should log-in, if possible, and work offline regarding assignments.

Wimberley ISD

Due to ongoing weather conditions, Wimberley ISD will cancel school on Tuesday, February 16, and Wednesday, February 17. District and campus administrators will reevaluate conditions on Wednesday morning and determine whether school can be held on Thursday, February 18, and Friday, February 19. Communication will be sent prior to noon on Wednesday notifying parents if school will be held on Thursday or not.
