The City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department is proud to present the 2016 Movies in Your Park series. Now in its fifteenth year, Movies in Your Park features a family-friendly movie each Tuesday night during June and July. This free event is held at San Marcos Plaza Park, located at 401 E. Hopkins, and is open to the public.
This year’s movie schedule is:
June 7 – Annie (1982)
June 14 – The Mighty Ducks
June 21 – Cinderella (2015)
June 28 – Cool Runnings (This showing will be held at the Texas State Football Stadium, 1100 Aquarena Springs Drive)
July 5 – Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2
July 12 – The Boxtrolls
July 19 – Inside Out
July 26 – Aladdin (This showing will be held at the Central Texas Wing of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) hanger at the San Marcos Regional Airport, 1841 Airport Drive Building 2249)
Movies begin at sunset, with pre-movie activities hosted by Angel Drops and Texas Health & Racquet Club one hour prior. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on. Concessions will be available for purchase from the Association of Recreation Enthusiasts from Texas State University.
