On November 15, around 1 AM, a fire was reported at 100 Buckskin Pass in Driftwood’s Rolling Oaks Subdivision; one person is reported deceased, and another was injured.
Dale Alton Roberson, 81, was taken to Seton Hospital with second-degree burns over approximately 5 percent of his body. Roberson is expected to be released later today.
Nelva Joyce Roberson, 74, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 Terry Kyle.
Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire; however, foul play is not suspected. According to officials, the mobile home was fully engulfed in flames and considered a total loss.
First responders included North Hays County Fire/Rescue, Kyle Fire Department, Wimberley Fire Department and Hays County Fire Marshal’s Office.
Hays County officials said next of kin has been notified. However, no other information is available at this time.
