Johnson City, Texas – Pedernales Electric Cooperative is inviting members from districts 1, 6 and 7 to an open forum to learn more about this year’s candidates for PEC’s board of directors.

This year, members will elect board directors from those districts.

The forum will be held Thursday, April 19, at 5:30 p.m. at PEC’s headquarters at 201 S. Ave. F in Johnson City.

PEC plans to announce the official slate of candidates running for the seats in districts 1, 6 and 7 on April 16 during the cooperative’s regularly scheduled April board meeting.

At the April 19 forum, each board candidate will be given several minutes to present their views and will take questions from PEC members in a moderated format.

Members should begin receiving mailed ballots by May 24, after which members will be able to vote by mail, online, via SmartHub or in person at an eligible PEC office through June 15.

Members may also choose to vote in person from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at PEC’s annual meeting.

This year’s annual meeting will be held June 23 at Smithson Valley High School in Spring Branch. Election results will be announced before the conclusion of the meeting.

Video of the candidate forum will be available online at pec.coop/election, where members may find additional details about the cooperative’s election.
