Police Searching for Hit-and Run-Suspect

San Marcos Police are looking for a suspect in a Sunday hit-and-run that sent a man to the hospital.On Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016 at approximately 2 a.m., a 44-year-old male subject was struck by a vehicle in the 1500 Block of Franklin Street in San Marcos. The victim sustained a broken leg, which required surgery to repair. 
 
The vehicle involved in the hit and run was described as a black or gray Ford F-150 single cab pick-up. There is possibly damage to the vehicle’s front driver’s side. Broken pieces of a bug deflector were found at the scene, but it is not known whether the bug deflector was on the hood or window of the truck. 
 
The driver of the vehicle is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 36 years old, having a trimmed beard and a crew cut hairstyle. The suspect is said to have had a heavy Spanish accent.
