Registration Open For New San Marcos’ Life Long Learning Classes

San Marcos Parks and Recreation is offering new Life Long Learning courses for the greater San Marcos area beginning in April.

The classes are primarily for those age 50 and above, but adults of any age are welcome to register. A minimum number of registrants is required for these classes otherwise they will be canceled.

1. Understanding Philosophical Naturalism – a Discussion

Mondays: April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 and May 7 from 2-3:15 p.m. at the San Marcos Activity Center. Cost is $20. Presented by Dr. Gilbert Fulmer.

2. All Level Watercolor – Art Class

Fridays: April 6, 13, 20, 27 and May 4, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Cephas House. Cost is $50. Presented by Roxana Tuff.
                                         

3. Drawing with Colored Pencil – Art Class

Fridays: April 6, 13, 20, 27 and May 4, 2018 from 2 – 4:30 p.m. at the Cephas House. Cost is $50. Presented by Roxana Tuff.

4. Give Falls the Boot – Balance and Fall Prevention Class

Tuesdays and Thursdays: April 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26; and May 1, 3, 8. From 1-3 p.m. at the San Marcos Activity Center.  The class is free, but registration is required as space is limited. Presented by Camille Phillips.

5. Texas License to Carry (LTC) Classroom Training Only

Saturday, May 19 from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the San Marcos Activity Center.

The cost is $55. Russell Moore, Training Director and Manager of the Lone Star Gun Range in Lockhart, teaches the class. Participants may complete the requirement for licensing for an additional charge of $10 paid to the instructor at the Lone Star Gun Range in Lockhart on a day and time set by the class and instructor.
