…FEB 2019 to LATE 2021
• WONDER WORLD DRIVE AND HUNTER ROAD — 11/30/2020 — 1/31/2021
The planned improvements include construction of a pedestrian refuge island, sidewalks and curb ramps, installation of pedestrian signal poles, and new striping for bicycle lanes.
The project will also include the removal of existing striping along Hunter Road between San Antonio Street and Wonder World Drive and the installation of a two-way left-turn lane, delineators, and signs.
According to the City of San Marcos, the individual corners of the intersection will be constructed one at a time so that there is minimal disruption to the traffic.
• VICTORY GARDENS PROJECT — 11/01/20 to 11/30/20 — UNDERGROUND UTILITY INSTALLATION
The Victory Gardens Neighborhood will undergo a new underground utility installation with Impact to traffic on the following streets Georgia Street, Armstrong Street, Eisenhower Street, Camacho Street, McArthur Street, Virginia Street, and Churchill Street. Starting October 1- 31, 2020, from 7:00 am – 5:00 pm – Darren – Cox Commercial Construction – 956.601.1645
• HOPKINS STREET — 05/2020 to Spring 2022 — STREET RECONSTRUCTION
Hopkins Street between Bishop Street and Moore Street will be closed for a Street Reconstruction Project. Traffic will be detoured to Craddock at both ends of the project, with only local traffic allowed. Phase 1 street closure occurring between Johnson and Endicott. This phase is anticipated for completion in November. Phase 2 from Bishop to Johnson will begin in December. The overall completion of the project is anticipated by Spring 2022.
