Monday, March 2—AARP volunteers will assist persons with disabilities as well as low-income and elderly taxpayers file their income tax returns at the San Marcos Public Library from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Taxpayers must bring a photo ID, W-2 forms, child care provider information, and all other tax-related information. Bring health insurance coverage information for each month of 2014, Form 1095-A (if purchased via the
Marketplace), or proof of any health care exemptions received through the Marketplace for every member of the household. All tax returns will be e-filed, so please bring your bank routing and account numbers.

Gardening 101
Saturday, March 14—Come to the San Marcos Public Library at 3:00 p.m. for a free class about organic gardening. Jonas Jones, farm manager for Gray Gardens in Buda, will share his knowledge of the organic approach to garden site location, composting, crop selection, soil building, planting, fertilizers, pest control, harvest, and crop storage. He has been with Gray Gardens for two years, and holds an associate’s degree in Horticulture from Texas State University.
 
Intro to Your Sewing Machine
Sunday, March 15—Do you have a sewing machine that spends more time in the cupboard than in use? Come to the San Marcos Public Library to relearn the basics. Thursday, March 19—Join us at 7:00 p.m. at the San Marcos Public Library to learn about brewing nourishing herbal infusions using Texas botanicals with community herbalist Emily Bradford.
Enjoy a tea tasting and take home recipes for tea blends you can grow in your spring and summer garden. Bradford is an instructor at the Wildflower School of Botanical Medicine.

Thursday, March 26—Everyone is invited to the San Marcos Public Library for a free concert featuring Grant Mazak on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Grant’s performance will showcase a mix of classic and new songs from throughout his career including several by some fine local artists.
