San Marcos road construction, detours, closures for week of April 5

The short & long term road construction projects that could affect your drive… Please use caution, drive slowly, and watch for heavy equipment, construction workers, and traffic control flaggers.

  • All traffic projects may be subject to delays or extensions due to weather and/or the current Public Health situation.

Special Weekly Closures

EAST SAN ANTONIO STREET — Every Saturday — FARMERS MARKET
Every Saturday from 7:30 AM to 3 PM, Half a block of the street closed from the Alley to N. LBJ for the Farmers Market on the Square. Main Street Program 512.393.8430.

 

SHORT TERM

SAN ANTONIO ST

The 300 Block of East San Antonio will have a single lane closure starting March 31- April 1, 2021, from 7:00 am – 3:00 pm for Roadway Resurfacing- Public Services -Transportation- 512.393.8036

. RIO VISTA NEIGHBORHOOD

The Rio Vista Neighborhood will have a single-lane closure starting April 12 through April 16, 2021 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for roadway resurfacing. For more information contact, Public Services and Transportation at 512.393.8036.

LONG TERM

 

UHLAND ROAD
The Eastbound lane of the 1000 block of Uhland Road will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic from Mar. 23 through Jun. 23 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a utility line relocation. For more information about this project contact, HMI Utilities at 940.255.7705.

VICTORY GARDENS UTILITY PROJECT
The Victory Gardens Neighborhood will undergo a new underground utility installation and will impact traffic in the following streets Georgia Street, Armstrong Street, Eisenhower Street, Camacho Street, McArthur Street, Virginia Street, and Churchill Street. The Closure will also affect Patton Street, Wavell Street, and Knox Street. Starting Feb. 1 through Mar. 31 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information contact Darren with Cox Commercial Construction at 956.601.1645.

HOPKINS STREET
Hopkins Street between Bishop Street and Moore Street will be closed for a Street Reconstruction Project. Traffic will be detoured to Craddock at both ends of the project, with only local traffic allowed. Phase 2 starting and will extend the closure for local traffic from Bishop to Endicott Street. Phase 1 is anticipated to be complete by January and will open to local traffic from Mitchell Street to Endicott Street. The overall completion of the project is scheduled for Spring 2022. HOPKINS STREET
CM Allen Parkway to Thorpe Lane will have intermittent single lane closures starting Nov. 30 to Aug. 31 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the installation of sidewalks and driveways. For information on this project, contact Brad Bechtol with Mac Inc. at 512.350.3767.

UHLAND ROAD
1396 Uhland Road to Aquarena Springs Drive will be closed starting Mar. 15 through Jul. 15 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information about this road reconstruction project contact, Todd Keltgen at 512.212.7990.

 BARNES DRIVE

Barnes Drive, Thermon Drive and Chisos Street will have a single lane closure starting April 12 through April 30, 2021 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information over roadway resurfacing contact, Public Services and Transportation at 512.393.8036.
